Academy of Digital Health – ORCHA – Intro & Foundation 1

The first of 2 modules introduces the field of digital health, covering key concepts, challenges, and opportunities. We’ll look at the current digital health landscape, including key statistics for health apps and mobile healthcare, and examine the uptake of digital health tools by both patients and health and care professionals. The module considers the risks and benefits to using and adopting digital health apps, and crucially, we will examine regulations in this space, and how assessment and accreditation processes can help to overcome some of the challenges associated with digital health tools. Finally, we’ll discuss the steps that health and care providers and innovators need to take to truly support the digital patient.
